Tainted Regular is a tribute to the unique beauty found in the imperfections of leaves in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The font is inspired by the sharp brittle edges, holes, and tears of dried leaves, which are often overlooked or disregarded. The letters were shaped by the way dried leaves bend and fold, and is intentionally tainted with holes and tears to pay homage to the natural blemishes found in the gardens, once lovely, now loathly. The "tainted" parts that were removed from the letters were repurposed to form punctuation marks and other special characters. This interpretation aims to inspire renewed appreciation for the unique character and beauty of these flawed leaves
